Request to Guests

Kyoto Ryokan Watazen takes every effort to prevent fires and other accidents. In the unlikely event of an emergency, please remain calm.

 Emergency Exits and Evacuation Route

1.  Be sure to note the emergency exits and evacuation route marked on the back of your guest room door.
2. There are two designated evacuation routes: the indoor stairs or the outdoor stairs. The outdoor stairs are located outside the emergency exit to the right of rooms 210, 310, and 410. In the event of an emergency, unlock the emergency door and take the outdoor stairs to the first floor, and follow the passage to the front of the ryokan.
3. In the event of an emergency, an emergency siren will sound and an emergency announcement will be broadcasted throughout the ryokan. Follow the broadcasted instructions or any instructions from ryokan employees and calmly evacuate the building.
4. Read through the Safety Guide upon arriving at the ryokan.
   
5. Read through the Guest Precautions upon arriving at the ryokan.
